Hello, my name is Lea. I reside in K., Slovenia. Photography is one of my greatest passions. Rather than a way of expressing myself, I consider photography to be a source of new information and different ideas.

I started to take photographs many years ago, first using my grandfather's rangefinder camera, then my own film camera. Nowadays I mostly take photographs with a digital camera, because it's very practical. But sometimes, I still like to pick up my film camera and in such occasions, I use Fujifilm.

It's in my interest to capture something that catches my eye, moments and things I find unforgettable. Besides a couple of unsuccessful attempts, I've never been an admirer of long exposures and wide-angle lenses – or anything that makes a photograph look artificial.

I'm a firm believer in one camera per - lifetime. I have no interest in the camera itself... It's the subject that draws my attention to the photographs.

My inspiration is built upon little fragments; it's in the nature; I find it when I'm traveling; it's in the gentle breeze on a sunny day; but above all, it's in the words that I write.

I like to read magazines and newspapers and watch good documentary films. And I'm always writing, using paper napkins, my notebook, postcards, and alike... I'm an early riser and Darjeeling tea is my drink of choice.

I have a wide range of interests, but I think that none of those interests influenced my photography as much as my grandparents' old photos and beautiful landscapes described in my favorite stories by a particular Russian author have.

My photographs are minimally edited in Aperture
